Munday C.I.S.D. Profile

 

Munday Consolidated Independent School District is a rural and remote school district in Knox County .  It is located 75 miles southwest of Wichita Falls and 75 miles north of Abilene. The school district consists of two campuses. Munday Elementary houses grades Pre-K - 6 with a total of 230 students. Munday Secondary School is comprised of 156 students in grades seven through twelve. Total student enrollment is approximately 386.   The faculty consists of 40 teachers, 1 school nurse, 1 counselor, 1 technology coordinator, 8 instructional aides, 5 food service staff, 7 maintenance staff, 1 day care staff, 1 business manager, 1 PEIMS coordinator, 2 campus administrators, 2 campus attendance clerks, and 1 central administrator. The Special Education population is served by a shared service arrangement of the schools of Haskell and Knox counties.  The school district serves as a centerpiece for the community because of the activities associated with the school district.  

Munday CISD has a maintenance and operation tax rate of 1.17 with no debt service.
