Munday Consolidated Independent School District is a rural and remote school district in Knox County, the district serves the communities of Goree, Munday, and Rhineland. The city of Munday is located 75 miles southwest of Wichita Falls and 75 miles north of Abilene. The school district consists of two campuses. Munday Elementary houses grades Pre-K - 5 with a total of 211 students. Munday Secondary School has 186 students in grades six through twelve. Total student enrollment is approximately 400. The faculty consists of 43 teachers, 1 school nurse, 1 counselor, 1 technology coordinator, 14 instructional aides, 5 food service staff, 5 maintenance staff, 4 day care staff, 1 business manager, 1 PEIMS coordinator, 2 campus administrators, 2 campus attendance clerks, and 1 central administrator. The Special Education population is served by a shared service arrangement of schools of Haskell and Knox counties. The school district serves as a centerpiece for the community because of the activities associated with the school.
Students can participate in athletics, marching band, one-act play, FFA, debate, and UIL academic activities. Links to many of these programs can be found on the website.
Munday CISD has a maintenance and operation tax rate of $1.01 with $.47 debt service per $100 of taxable value.
