CLIC
Community Life Involvement Council

The CLIC is a community service organization established and named by Karen Longan in May of 1987. It was implemented originally through the Theatre Arts classes. The purpose of the organization is to find opportunities for Munday High School students to volunteer for community projects. Participation in the club allows its members to raise funds for worthy causes and to participate in various community service projects, which foster a sense of community spirit.
Past services projects include building and painting Christmas displays for the Chamber of Commerce, participating in programs such as "Students Against Drunk Drivers" and the Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Campaign, helping with the Red Cross Bloodmobile, winterizing projects for senior citizens, and the Child Welfare Christmas project.
The club is founded on the belief that every United States citizen should have a spirit of community service and volunteerism. Members are taught that this is a very important responsibility of the democratic way of life. This club should enable students to find opportunities to begin their community service.
